INTERIOR PAINTING
INTERIOR PAINTING DONE CLEAN, DONE RIGHT
Interior painting should leave you with a beautiful room, not weeks of dust, overspray, and disruption. CSI Custom Paint has spent more than 25 years painting interiors across Monterey, Carmel, Pebble Beach, Salinas, and the greater Monterey Bay area, and we have built our entire interior process around protecting the home you are living in. Whether your residence is occupied or empty, the work happens behind containment, floors are covered completely, and the space is cleaned thoroughly every single day before we leave.
Most interior painting companies want the house empty. We do not need it. A large share of our interior work is completed in occupied homes with families, pets, and daily routines in motion. We coordinate the work in manageable sections, protect floors and furnishings with padded coverings and Ram Board, seal doorways, and utilize HEPA dust extraction to keep occupied areas clean. You keep your home functional. We manage the project with care.

PREPARATION THAT CREATES A REFINED FINISH
The quality of the final result depends on what happens beneath the paint. We inspect walls, ceilings, trim, and doors; repair minor surface damage; sand rough areas; fill gaps where appropriate; and prime stains, repairs, or bare surfaces as needed. Trim and doors receive their own preparation sequence: cleaning and deglossing, filling nail holes, sanding profiles, and caulking open joints. Bare wood, stains, and wallpaper removal are addressed meticulously to produce cleaner lines, an even sheen, and a durable finish.
PREMIUM PRODUCTS CHOSEN FOR YOUR SPACE
We recommend premium architectural wall and ceiling paints—such as Sherwin-Williams Emerald Interior—for rich, washable, non-reflective surfaces that balance durability with elegant color depth.
WALLS & CEILINGS
Trim, casings, baseboards, and interior doors receive specialized urethane enamel systems—like Emerald Urethane Trim Enamel—providing a hard, furniture-grade finish that resists scuffs and cleaning.
DOORS & TRIM
We also collaborate on designer specifications from Benjamin Moore and Farrow & Ball, tailoring sheens and moisture-resistant coatings for high-humidity baths, kitchens, and architectural woodwork.

OUR INTERIOR PAINTING PROCESS
1. CONSULTATION & ESTIMATE
2. PROTECTION & PREPARATION
We review the rooms, surfaces, colors, schedule, and any repairs that may affect the work, followed by a clear, itemized proposal.
Floors, furnishings, fixtures, and adjacent surfaces are covered before repairs, sanding, caulking, and priming begin.
3. PROFESSIONAL APPLICATION
4. DETAIL REVIEW & CLEANUP
Coatings are brushed, rolled, or sprayed as appropriate for the surface and desired finish, with intercoat inspection.
We inspect the work, complete touch-ups, remove all protective coverings, clean daily, and walk the finished project with you.
